Athena's Wisdom is best used by players that favor precision over brute force.

- The name, although directly referring to the Crimson Lance defector, Athena, from whom the weapon is obtained upon the defeat of Knoxx, is a double entendre that is also referencing the Greek goddess Athena [1], the goddess of wisdom and war strategies.
- The Athena's Wisdom uses a unique Hyperion material, a pink color with a star pattern, similar to the Monster's pink Moxxi Mobile skin.

The Athena's Wisdom derives its special effects from barrel5_AthenasWisdom. Compared to the standard barrel5, this part further improves accuracy and handling of the gun when firing.
