• The name, although directly referring to the Crimson Lance defector, Athena, from whom the weapon is obtained upon the defeat of Knoxx, is a double entendre that is also referencing the Greek goddess Athena [1], the goddess of wisdom and war strategies.
• The Athena's Wisdom uses a unique Hyperion material, a pink color with a star pattern, similar to the Monster's pink Moxxi Mobile skin.
