A comment on Badass elementals.
It eludes me how Badass Pyros and Chemical Troopers can get killed by an exploding backpack - which explodes in flame/acid, mind you - but not with elemental weapons. That and I've never downed a Shock Trooper with his pack before. (Note to self, hunt down all Badass Shock Troopers and see if their pack is immune.)
Do only Lance Pyros shout "Fire!" somewhere in their battle cries? It would be fitting if only they did.
Job level handicaps
Playing this origionally as the hunter I leveled up through natural progression, by the time I got to level 61 and given the raid the Armory jobs I noticed the level of the job was around 60 meaning the level of found weapons in there would reflect this.
Now though I am playing through again twice already, first soldier now siren and find that on reaching these jobs again particularly ' Super Marcus Sweep' the level seems to have been handicapped at 56, so every time I reach the Armory the weapon level is nothing special, I cant seem to replicate getting these jobs at the higher level any more???
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening, I thought maybe playing through as co-op like I did with the soldier character may have done this bu…
Mothrakk is dead! Long live Mothrakk!
What a difference a level makes.
When I tried taking on Mothrakk before, I was one level less than she. I busied myself with other things and returned after gaining just a little bit of experience and voila! The mothrakk beast was defeatable. After that I went into the DLC on playthrough 1 just to get a feel for things. I'm a bit overpowered with this character but wanted to see the new sights.

Weekend again... yes!
So its finally the weekend again, and that means more time to play Borderlands! I got a chance to play a little on Wednesday, which is rare as I'm usually way to busy during the week. I worked on getting my rocket launcher proficiency up. I would weaken the Rakk Hive with my double anarchy and then let the launcher get the final hit in. I've already decided to up my Eridian proficiencies against enemies in the lost cave... I'm really tired of the repetitiveness if going up against the Rakk hive. At least there's different types of Eridians to use, and the Lost Cave has plenty of different enemy types....
Oh. And lets not forget about the chests. Plenty of farming oppertunity here. I also want to get my fill of New Haven farming before I do…
Dissapointment
I have never been more angry at borderlands.
I finnaly get my Siren to lvl 59 and my power shuts off.
Quickly, i turn my PS3 back on to start playing again. I click
on my siren and I see the horrible words pop up "this data is corrupt and cannot be
loaded, you should delete this file". I FAIL.

Earl is crazy and keeps secrets
I got a late start this morning, mostly because Earl and I spent the night emptying his liquor cabinet. Man, my head hurts. Anyway, the reason we stayed up drinking was because I was hoping to get him to slip up and tell me the location of this alien artifact thing that Patricia keeps nagging about.
That guy can hold his liquor. He wasn't talking no matter how much I tried, so I was pretty much forced to go do his errands. And find more beer. Of course, by the time the hangover started to wear off I was placing explosives charges which was cool by me because that meant access to two red chests.
How disappointing.
I have no good loot to brag about today. Maybe a day off the sauce will help. :(

Has anyone seen the hut at the very north of the map, you can access it by walking down a metal runway or by jumping down on the roof, either way i still have no idea how to get in, can someone help me please?
Mothrakk has to wait
Well I got cocky. Somehow I figured I could go take out Mothrakk with my Elephant gun. This is what I get for sharing a few beers with Helena the other night. She made it sound so 'adventurous' and all that. Bottom line, I barely scratched the thing. I mean, I gave it all I had at the time and still couldn't take it down. For all I know it's still there, circling in the air, waiting for me.
I seriously need a better gun.

What SHOULD be in Borderlands but isn't yet
There are suggestions for things that people want to see in Borderlands all over the forums. While most of those things sound like a lot of fun, I'd rather see Gearbox make these things:
First off, I've had numerous occasions where I join a game, where some idiot pisses me off. While I can live with that, I don't really want to meet them again. My first proposal therefore is a method for blacklisting players. A game with a blacklisted player will not appear in your server-list. Additionally, servers with people that blacklisted you won't be displayed either.
Secondly, when the host of a game disconnects, your game should save all progress before quitting. Not only would that fix the problem of duping, it would make online gaming a better exp…

Okay, so Sledge wasn't that big a deal, I got a little worked up over nothing. Not exactly cake either, but I had the tools to do the job, for sure. I found it was best to send out Bloodwing early (like FIRST thing!) because with each sniper hit I came closer to being able to send him out again. By the time Sledge was sludge, he was nothing but a big moneypile - oh yeah, and there was this ugly shotgun with zero accuracy. I KNOW, I KNOW! I sold it anyway, so there.

Psuedo-Farming New Haven and the Descent
With all missions in both playthroughs finally done, I decided I should max my weapon proficiencies (and maybe get some sweet new guns) before turning to the challenge list. I still haven't gotten the DLCs yet, so these semi-interesting tasks should hold me over.
I used this pattern of attack- start in New Haven, and check the chests for anything good. Then, New-U over to the descent. Because I have 5 points in trespass, killing guardians is a trivail task, plus they give me anywhere from 5,000 to 17,000 experience, leveling up my guns very fast. I would wipe out all the lance and guardians in The Descent, check all the chests, and then move on to the Eridian Promontory and do the same thing. Then restart the game, and restart the cycle.

I've been thinking about getting one of the borderlands DLC's.
But quite frankly none of them especialy apeal to me except the
secret armory of general Knox. The underdome does not seem to have
much more than the bank and the arena from what i've heard, and
Ned's zombie island i have not heard any good feedback from my
friends. Someone please prove me wrong or give me some feedback
on the current DLC's. Also, about how long are the DLC's in general.

At Sledge's doorstep
This morning I woke up in the Colloseum. This is not a bad place to start, since there is a red chest basically just outside to loot. I knew that i was going to have to clear a path to Sledge's Safehouse but before I did that I figured that since a solo player doesn't get to do much in the colloseum that I should at least head over to visit Chuck Durden to get my arena fix in.
During the first play through I only did the first two missions here. This time around I figured I should complete all three, and I did. Once again, the Volcano proved to be useful here against the skags of various sorts (I did switch out for the fire alpha skag, but that should be expected.) My Xbox red-ringed a while ago. I got a new one back, but I had to start with a new game of Brderlands! Rough, eh? But I'm not too mad. I'm already at level 50, and although I'm not as far as I was at my other game, I had a chance to pick up valuables I passed up on in my first game, ass well as get max backpack SDU's. Marley and Moe become Test Subjects
I felt a little rushed this morning and didn't get a lot accomplished. I went into the Arid hills looking for three things: Marley, Moe and Sniper Rifle parts. My plan was to test out my current weapon load out to see if it was adequate. While the mission was successful, the data gathered is not encouraging.
I knew going in that my Volcano was going to be less than useful against Moe, but I figured this would be a great way to compare it against my Liquid sniper. Well you see here guys I made a new character, a siren to be exact, because at level 42 i realize that I dont want to be a hunter anymore. (darn!)
So i need some helps on how to build my siren. I am very interested in an elemental build but a Firefly build seems so much more efficent.

Hey, guess what? Modded weapons are cool. We need to reinstitute them back into the borederlands world. I have now stopped playing borderlands altogether becuase its getting me pissed off. I HATE DYING EVERY FIVE SECONDS goddamn. I think we should patch the crazy ones like the FAt bastard and the other laggy ones, but keep the normal ones because it makes the game so much better. Also, we need to have shields but thats for tomorrows post. I cant really get past the first level of the new DLC and then stopped because these goddamn crimson assassins pop up outta nowhere. And the cars! i can go on forever, so well save that for two days from now..

Foursquare up and running on Pandora
Today had me helping out TK some more as well as repairing the Catch a Ride terminal near Fyrestone. TK wanted some seeds or something which had me going back to the Arid Badlands. While I was there I found some tapes which had baked in the sun a little too long, took out Skar and his pack, collected up the seeds and generally eliminated every skag I could find. And a few rakks too. The weather was so nice, thanks to the Maliwan the place was smelling like smoked meat - hell, I should have had a bbq right then and there.
But there was no beer.

Reset mission??
Hi guys,
I just happened tu try the armory bug, where u can enter the armory below the door that opens and fall throw that space into the armory skiping the "countdown started" ( there are 3 topics in the mission, 1st - countdown started, 2nd - steal loot and 3rd - BOOM! ) and so having every time you want to pick all the items in the armory but i tricked 1 of the 3 missions topics that was "steel the loot" and that makes that special "door" to close, and i cant go the either to finish the misson or to steal more loot =(
I was hoping that someone knows anyway to reset the mission so i can complete it...

Id's Rage game is planned to be released some time soon and had people talking about how Borderlands and Rage are very similar game ideas.

It is nice being back to calm and normal, actually even better to normal, no school today. Therefore the good times are once again rolling in Borderlands, all 8 days 3 hours and 16 second of those times in fact. Today was a momentous occasion with my eight day of play time on my main character being celebrated by the procurement of my first (and second) Pearlecent weapon. My first was an amazing Jackob's Bessie that does almost 2000 damage given to me by a friend, but I must say, it is far more satisfying to find your own. That is why, when I found my Anshin Rose I was even happier. My dad and I went on to find another pearlecent gun that he took. Tips: Solo-ing Crawmerax
For the past couple of days I've been able to sucessfully solo Crawmerax, and I though I'd share with you how I've been able to do it.
I use a level 61 Hunter with a high level Defiler, high level Volcano and a Pearlescent Aries (x2 shock), 2k Capacity sheild with 40% health boost, and a high level pistol mod with ammo regen.
What you will need:
- Recommended lvl 61 character.
- Need 3 weapons of your choice that do Shock, Corrosion, and Fire Damage.
- Transfusion grenades.
- High Capacity Sheild (2k or more)

So I am starting to think that just about everybody has death and dismemberment insurance on this rock. That, and I get the sense there is either one hell of a coverup or the New-U stations all glitched and everybody on the damn planet all lost their memory of the last month or so. (Same goes for the satellite chick too, I suppose.) As far as I can recall I got the ECHO thing working again, Descended down the canyon and followed the Eridian Promontory. Life is busy, that is why I couldn't post last night and why this one will be short I'll hopefully be back to normal by Monday.
I did finally get the Chopper, twice in fact. Once for myself and once for my dad, and it only took me 4 more tries to get it twice :P Lol. 50 failed attempts and then twice in a very short time. Doing Laundry in Crimson Fastness

Time Well Wasted
News / Overview:
I have now farmed Motorhead about 50 times and The Chopper still eludes me. Perhaps it is because I am doing it by myself, maybe that is making it less likely for me to get it. Regardless, I will keep farming him until I get it or until my trigger finger falls off. It may seem like this time has been wasted since I haven't found anything better than a mediocre shield that I got a couple million for, but I have not let my time go completely without reward. The Baron's hospitality and McCloud's big mouth
This morning, as planned, I visited the Baron at Thor. He was pretty hospitable right up until the end where somehow he got a lucky shot on me. I wasn't very pleased about that so I returned quickly to finish the job. He's not so tough without his friends and I had been rushing it.
