• "Ding!" is a verbalised, or typed, representation of a bell or electronic chime sound used in various games to indicate an increase in a character's level. Players sometimes announce such a level increase by using the word "Ding" to mimic the sound and inform their teammates of the upgrade.
• A hardcore fan generally refers to the most dedicated, unfailingly loyal faction of a group or organization. This hardcore gamer label applies to all video games where dedication is apparent, and extends to increased difficulty modes of play in some games.
