[Droog Variants]

Droog is the title of a group of common sniper rifles that are manufactured exclusively by Vladof. The Droog is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source.

Usage & Description

The Droog uses the Vladof rotating sniper barrel; it is fully automatic with a high rate of fire and a generous magazine of up to 24 rounds, making it ideal for laying down fire at long ranges. Damage is mediocre compared to other models of sniper rifle, however. Its fire rate and damage make it a viable alternative for players that like assault rifles, but cannot find one with high enough damage. As with Vladof's Vanquisher rocket launcher, a Droog's large magazine and high rate of fire is somewhat poorly suited to the sniper ammo cap, and regular use of one is likely to result in complete sniper ammo depletion.

  • Lyuda - Legendary sniper rifle that shoots one projectile that splits into three projectiles after a certain time, as well as a +125% base critical hit bonus.
  • Patriot - Seraph sniper rifle that fires slower moving projectiles in a large bullet spread, with increased damage.

  • In keeping with Vladof's use of Nadsat in their naming conventions, the term "drug," or друг, is Russian for "friend." The term was anglicized to "droog" in A Clockwork Orange, also meaning "friend."
  • The Droog's automatic fire makes it a great weapon in order to complete the "No scope, no problem" challenge.
