Willy the Skag is a special rabid skag found during the mission Animal Rights. He is released along with two fossil skags during the second objective and fights on the side of the Vault Hunters.

- Willy the Skag is initially a hostile enemy that becomes friendly shortly after his release.
Trivia
- The named skag and stalker of the two mission objectives are both named "Willy," while the objectives are to free them. This alludes to the title and plot of the movie Free Willy.
- Willy the Skag can be attacked and damaged by Vault Hunters if immediately shot at when the cage opens. His health bar will soon turn green as a scripted ally. Alternatively, with a little effort, he and the other imprisoned skags can be killed without unlocking the cage. If the cage is then opened, Hyperion guards will appear as normal, but the killed skags will be counted as killed by them, i.e. they will not count towards the optional objective of keeping them alive.
