Sir Reginald Von Bartlesby is a tiny varkid in a jar that Tiny Tina considers to be an aristocratic friend and a guest she invites to her "tea party", which eventually turns out to be a means of exacting vengeance on Flesh-Stick for causing her parents' deaths. Tina instructs the player to retrieve Reginald during the optional mission You Are Cordially Invited: Party Prep. She mentions that he has a stuck–up mother who does not want him leaving home, speaking of them as if they were people, but upon reaching Reginald's location it turns out that they are varkids, with the mother, Madame Von Bartlesby, being a powerful mini–boss enemy that the player must kill.
Later, in Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, Reginald appears as a character within Bunkers & Badasses consisting of his real varkid–in–a–jar self placed as the "head" on top of a humanoid body. This imaginary version of Reginald gives the mission Roll Insight, ostensibly consisting of solving a profound riddle. However, Brick throws down the dice too hard on the board when attempting to determine whether his character is smart enough to solve the riddle, and it crushes the Sir Reginald figurine, resulting in the same happening to the character as seen by the player.
