Occasionally, I read tidbits on here about the characters' motivations (if I've gathered them together correctly, Mordecai's investigating someone's death/a greedy bastard out for guns and moolah, Roland's trying to kill... somebody, Brick's looking for his sister, and Lilith is looking for another Siren). My question is, when is any of this revealed in-game? I've been playing for a while now, and I haven't seen any evidence of the main characters' motivations anywhere. Is it very late in the game, or did I just blink and miss it? Screennameless(Talk) 02:31, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

I've been wondering that myself. According to Mordecai's article, the information came from the Borderlands manual, but I haven't seen it. The Flying Fenrakk 03:07, January 17, 2010 (UTC)
I'm thinking it might be in the PC game's manual. I have the XBOX 360 version, and I know PC manuals tend to be a little more... verbose. But still, if it only appears in the PC manual, that's really weird. I think it must be in the game somewhere. Screennameless(Talk) 02:50, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
You know what? I'm a dipshit. I guarantee you that the only place the info on the MCs (or any of the NPCs' backstories, for that matter) appears in the "official guide" or whatever. Screennameless(Talk) 04:36, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
There's a bit of speculation here that Commandant Steele could be the person that all 4 characters are looking for. -- Claptrap 03:11, January 17, 2010 (UTC)
