Forums: Index > Help desk > Badass Rank data question

I'm planning on taking Borderlands 2 (Ps3 version) over to a friend's house for an extended stay, but want to take my data with me (my PS3 is staying behind at my house). So I know I can save my characters and profile data - where Badass Rank is stored -to my flash drive and copy it over on his PS3 - however, if I play any of my characters, my Badass Rank will change as I complete challenges.

I suspect if I overwrite the data on my flash drive pertaining to what characters I played and my account data, then recopy it over to my PS3, then any progress I made at his place will be saved. However, with all the news of Badass Rank resetting, I'm a bit paranoid about copying over my profile data. So, pretty much, what I'm asking is this: If I save my profile data on my flash drive, copy it over to another PS3, use it, recopy it to my flash drive, and overwrite my PS3's old profile data with the new, will my Badass Rank bw okay?

I haven't read anything "official" that pin points any particular action as the one responsible for the data corruption, though I scanned through a forum that seemed to think it had to do with playing splitscreen. Something about letting a guest play with on the same account as you causing the problem, but like I said it was just a forum so take that with a grain of salt.

As far as copying the game saves I would concider it just as dangerous as just playing the game itself, which is why I've avoided my copy like it has the plague. It's probably unnecessary, but I'm going to play it safe until it's patched. XxSick DemonxX (talk) 06:12, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

With all the problems they are having I think I would copy it to my PC before I took it over to his house.14:55, October 23, 2012 (UTC)
