Hi Guys, it's D again.
I'm just curious how the skill increases work with class mdos, there's probably already a topic about this and sorry if i come off as lazy!
we all know that class mdos dont viasably increase your skills when you look at them in your tree, and that you can only increase skilsl with points already in them, but is there a maximum a skill can be increased by?
I was just curious as i wanted to make a soldier with a stupid ammount of ammo capacity on his combat rifles and smgs.Danzig1138 15:39, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
The highest you can go is 9 stat points: 5 from the skill tree, 4 from a class mod. If you wish to increase, say, magazine size even further, you have many options from which you can choose as far as COMs are concerned - Support Gunner material 2, Gunman, Heavy Gunner, and Rifleman - most of which will give considerable boosts to your magazine size (almost three times the original) because of their effects. --Nagamarky 15:51, April 29, 2010 (UTC)
Overload obviously helps with magazine size (+60%), and Assault gives +45% for combat rifles too when maxed. Heavy Gunner is probably the best for pure mag size since it gives up to +80% in addition to the bonus to overload (max of +4 Overload = +48% mag size, giving up to 9/5 Overload). Having other soldiers with a corresponding Support Gunner mod makes this even more crazy. Rifleman has the benefit of combat rifle damage and ammo regeneration in some mods, and the bonus to Assault it gives helps offset not having Heavy Gunner's 80% mag size (not not nearly as close).
