I have installed and played Borderlands 2 on PC, but I'm still at a loss as how to access the preorder content. I have a couple of preorder codes ready to go, but no way to use them yet.
- Borderlands 2 Premiere Club
- Creature Slaughter Dome
Discussion with another player on the subject leads me to believe I should see options on these in the Downloadable Content menu inside Borderlands 2, accessed from the Main Menu. But then clicking on that takes me to a screen with the popup message shown above.
So what I'm asking is, what are the causes (and possible solutions) of this message? Has anyone had experience with bypassing this by using the Steam interface instead? (On Steam: "Games" > "Activate a Product on Steam") Note that I don't want to accidentally render a preorder code useless by getting this wrong.
The issue is resolved. From Steam and using the "Games" > "Activate a Product on Steam" approach, I have successfully bound the preorder keys to my account and the upgrades have appeared in the game. -- WarBlade (talk) 08:10, September 22, 2012 (UTC)

I ran into a similar issue after I had put the codes in via "Activate a product on Steam" which list the pre-order stuff as downloaded but not activated in the DLC tab in the BL2's main menu. The solution was posted in the hub's section, the blue button in the listing of a game in the library. Right click on BL2->Properties->Local Files->Verify Integrity of Game Cache then start the game and it will download the content and it will be listed as activated in the DLC section of the main menu. --Spacedone
The problem is that my game downloads 1 file, then I go to play it and I still can't access the DLC menu. I then verify the cache aain and I downloads the same file.James4832 (talk) 03:57, September 27, 2012 (UTC)
