I have a PC retail version which I got a long time ago (christmas 09 I believe). I subsequently bought the DLCs on digital retailers (GS or 2K, I don't remember) and now I have a big problem. I've recently reinstalled Windows 7 on the computer and now I'm trying to reinstall Borderlans and it's DLCs. However, I lost the codes for the DLCs. They were in a previous e-mail account that has been blocked for some reason. Worse yet, the backup for it was an even older e-mail that apparently doesn't even exist anymore. I still have the files for the DLCs but not the codes. I actually still have one code however and it's the 4th one which I saved in a notepad file. Now obviously I don't want to buy them again but even then, I CAN'T buy them again since they aren't avalible anywhere. So, what do I do? The easiest solution is to just get some keygens on Pirate Bay but for once, if there is somthing else, I'll take. —Preceding unsigned comment added by GD82 (talkcontribs) 10:53, 24 March 2012

you will need to come up with the codes. 2k/gbx absolve themselves from responsibility once keys are used so there is no getting help from them. if the codes are gone suck it up and buy goty for 8 bucks {$15 prime} on amazon (may require steam).   Dr. F    Chemicalweapon   Wordpress shovel   Boston globe bullhorn  16:10, March 24, 2012 (UTC)

In all technicality, when you "buy" the DLC, you are just buying a key. The files are actually freely distributed here: https://store.gearboxsoftware.com/support/ If you want to "buy a new key", then you just buy a new copy of the game/DLC.
I'd try to send an email to cutomer support, with whatever info you have. Maybe they'll find your purchase and send you your serials.
While I understand the pain of feeling "cheated" out of a game you paid for, I'd just buy a new copy of the "Game of the Year Edition". It's 7 bucks. I know you already paid for it, but quite franckly, given the enjoyement and playtime I've pulled out of Borderlands, I wouldn't mind paying for it again. And I bought everything pre-order: 60€ + 4x10€ = aprox 130$. If Gearbox had a "send us your money" tool, I'd be using it. happypal (talk • contribs) 16:20, March 24, 2012 (UTC)
