This skill increases damage for all melee strikes, both within Berserk mode and without.
This talent massively enhances Berserk mode when attacking groups of stronger enemies surrounded by weaker ones. With this ability, it is often smarter to take out more fragile enemies first, and then attacking more sturdy enemies such as Badass or BadMutha while this buff is active, even alternating back and forth from strong to weak enemies as needed. For added benefit, this also ensures that his defensive on-kill buffs (i.e. Juggernaut and Blood Sport) remain active as well.
