Jolly Roger is a unique shotgun which appears in the DLC expansion Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty. It is manufactured by Bandit. Jolly Roger is obtained from the mission Just Desserts For Desert Deserters located in Wurmwater.

Special Weapon Effects[]

A Pirate's Life for me! – Increased pellet count. Fixed spread pattern. Spread forms a 'Skull and Bones' pattern.

Usage & Description[]

The Jolly Roger fires 18 pellets (20 with the foregrip attachment) at the cost of 3 ammo. This makes it quite ammo-efficient for a triple-barrel, with a pellet count on par with most quad-barrels.

Gaige makes good use of the Jolly Roger, since her ability Close Enough will cause much more of the pellets to connect, dealing a lot of damage while still being fairly ammo efficient.

This weapon is very similar to other shotguns that form fixed patterns, with exception to the bandit characteristics, players should take advantage of the fixed pattern to maximise damage. This weapon works best on wide enemies, such as large skags , spiderants , or loaders.

Notes[]

  • The weapon's full title is "Captain Scarlett's Jolly Roger", but the "Captain Scarlett's" prefix will be always replaced by a grip prefix or accessory prefix.
  • A hotfix on 10/14/13 as part of the Borderlands 2 $100,000 Loot Hunt gave the Jolly Roger and all other bandit shotguns one more shot in the magazine and a slightly faster reload speed.
