|[Kiss of Death Variants]|
Kiss of Death is a unique transfusion grenade manufactured by Maliwan. Kiss of Death is obtained from the mission Hell Hath No Fury. In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, it is one of the items awarded for starting the mission Home Sweet Home by opening Moxxi's weapon crate located in Moxxi's Up & Over Bar in Concordia.
Special Weapon Effects
It takes two to get one in trouble. – Grenade homes in and sticks to the target's face. After sticking to an enemy it deals damage over time until the target dies or the grenade detonates. Upon exploding sends out life orbs that heal allies. Does not release child grenades upon detonation. Child grenade count reflects the number of life orbs released. Increased damage compared to standard transfusion grenades of a similar level.
Usage & Description
Instead of releasing child grenades upon detonation, the Kiss of Death seeks out and sticks to the target's face dealing constant elemental DoT for the length of the fuse time (always 3 seconds), including explosive damage. This makes the Kiss of Death less effective than the standard counterpart for dealing with several targets but instead deals massive damage to a single enemy.
- Hyperius the Invincible has a chance to drop the Kiss of Death upon defeat, unusual for a supposedly unique item.
- This grenade mod's special damage over time can score multiple critical hits if the grenade sticks to the face of an enemy.
- In real life, the Kiss of Death refers to a kiss given to one who has committed an act of betrayal and is thus marked for death.
