Usage & Description Edit

The Crux is a comparatively average shotgun with a strong corrosive accessory attached. Thus, it is not suitable for close-range desperation combat, or any situation where multiple enemies in close proximity need to be killed quickly. That being said, it is very effective against armored targets like regular Lance soldiers, non-elemental Spiderants, non-elemental Skags and Turrets. It is more suitable for a "hit-and-run" playstyle in that it's best to get within an effective range, expend the magazine on an enemy, and then wait in a safe location while the target corrodes to death.

Notes & Trivia Edit

• The Maliwan Crux shares its name with the S&S Crux. However, the original name for the Maliwan Crux was the Maliwan Plague and is mis-titled due to a code glitch.
• The red text is a reference to a quote from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the line itself originating from a scene dealing with those who had died of the Black Plague.
• The only legitimate prefixes are Vitriolic and Pestilent.

Mechanics Edit

The Crux gets its effect from the acc3_Maliwan_Corrosive_Plague accessory. It is based off the acc3_Corrosive accessory. The acc3_Maliwan_Corrosive_Plague has less damage drop compared to the classic acc3_Corrosive, as well as cheaper and more frequent procs. Finally, it gives a massive +10 Tech.
