Pay Back is a Tier Three talent in Brick's Tank tree. Investing skill points in this skill increases Brick's damage output for 10 seconds (more time than a normal buff) whenever his shields are depleted, starting with 8% damage bonus at rank one.

Skill Progression

Additional levels may be acquired through the use of a Warmonger Class Mod.

Notes

• The HUD presents no visual indication of Pay Back being active. Damage done to enemies will confirm its effects.
• Pay Back increases damage for most of Brick's weapon attacks, as well as for melee attacks made while Berserk. However, it does not increase damage for melee attacks made while not Berserk, nor does it increase the damage of rocket launchers.
• Similar to other shield skills such as Unbreakable, Pay Back will not trigger a second time until Brick's shields recharge fully.

Strategy

• Characters oriented to focus more on damage output than durability that invest heavily in Pay Back may wish to invest less in Safeguard, if at all.

• Unbreakable, works well with Payback, as it quickly charges Brick's shield bar up to capacity, allowing Payback to trigger again.
