Jed Stokely lived with his adopted father in New Haven until the day he decided to murder him and join the bandits; taking the name "Reaver". He is notorious even among the bandits for having a chip on his shoulder and daddy issues. He also drops a unique sniper rifle, Reaver's Edge, when killed.

InvolvementEdit

Reaver is the target in the mission Two Wrongs Make A Right. The Vault hunters solve the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Jed Stokely, and make their way to put an end to his wrongdoings.

StrategyEdit

Main article: Two Wrongs Make A Right

Reaver attacks with Reaver's Edge, his unique sniper rifle. If close pressed in melee, he will club with the barrel of this rifle, knocking his attacker just out of melee range.

QuotesEdit

  • Another slave to feed me.
  • I'm gonna rip your arm off and beat your baby with it!
  • It's time, for another pound of flesh!
  • It's time to paint this body with blood!
  • Nobody shoots my minions but me!

TriviaEdit

  • Reaver uses Mordecai's old model with a modified texture.
  • He also appears as a boss in Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot.
  • Reaver shares several quotes with Nine Toes and the common Psycho.
  • In the original (unused) plot of Borderlands, Reaver is the man Roland swore to kill, a leader in the Brigandiers (the bandits). He initially mistakes Mordecai for him when they meet, since Reaver's attire and gear are similar. This would place Reaver in the position currently occupied by Krom.
    • Alternately, it's also possible that Reaver is the person Mordecai was looking for, the man who killed Quinn. He may even be Quinn, gone insane in his hunt for the Vault. The object he was carrying in the original plot was very likely a Vault Key Fragment.
      • Neither of these recognizes Reaver as Jed Stokely.
  • Like Jaynis Kobb, "Reaver" is a reference to the Firefly TV series, in which "reavers" are savage, cannibalistic space pirates.
