Repeater is the title of a group of common pistols in Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. They are manufactured exclusively by Dahl, and commonly spawns with the Dahl, Maliwan, Tediore, and bandit/scav barrels.
Usage & Description
Dahl pistols are semi-automatic when fired from the hip. They fire a 2-round bursts when aiming, much faster rate than hip-fire that gives Dahl pistols the such feature as high stability when zoomed. This feature makes them a good sidearm for mid-range combat, but not as good for situations as like fight for your life.
The Repeater can come with a variety of barrels, each one can give the gun different properties:
- Repeaters with stable Dahl barrel when aiming fires 4-round bursts without reducing stability and with slightly reduced recoil and damage.
- Tediore barrel (standard) – Does nothing additional.
- Maliwan barrel (elemental) – Increases elemental effect damage (if the weapon spawn with an element) and accuracy.
- Bandit/scav barrel ("heavy") – Increases the weapon damage but reduces accuracy.
Notable variants
- Basic Repeater – Unique (but common-quality) variant of this weapon in Borderlands 2, given as the mission reward for My First Gun.
- React Repeater – Unique (but common-quality) variant of this weapon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the Wilhelm's starting weapon.
- Teapot – Unique corrosive pistol with a contagious elemental effect.
- Hornet – Legendary corrosive pistol with double the burst of bullets.
