The Salt Racer is a dragster-type vehicle which was planned for the commercial release of Borderlands, but was removed in one of the later phases.[1] It appears to have been revived in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, as the Racer.
Information
The GameInformer cover story described the Salt Racer as a more versatile vehicle than its counterpart, the Outrunner, stating that "Its front wheels are spread apart for maneuvering at slow speeds, but once you reach a high enough speed on the open Salt Flats they will retract in to form more of a drag racer shape.
