Effect	+5% shotgun damage for each point -5% shotgun spread for each point

Scattershot is a Tier Two talent in Roland's Infantry tree. Each point invested in this skill increases shotgun damage by 5%. Contrary to description, this skill actually "increases accuracy" rather than "decreases spread". Scattershot increases both the accuracy of the Shotgun, and that of the player, by 5% per level.

Effect

Increases shotgun damage and accuracy.

Note that a linear increase of "accuracy" does not lead to a linear decrease of the spread. This is not noticeable at lower levels of Scattershot, but should be taken into account for Commandos.

Because there are no other effects in borderlands that increases Shotgun Accuracy for Roland, the actual effect on spread can be directly extrapolated given the formula of "spread = 1/accuracy".

Notes

• Prior to Patch 1.0.2 (and the equivalent patch for the 360 and PC), Scattershot used to increase the spread of shotgun weapons, effectively reducing accuracy. It now increases accuracy, as intended.
