Usage & Description
While accuracy on Stompers is usually in the high 80s to low 90s, their slow bullet velocity make them difficult to use outside of close range. They have extremely high per bullet damage, with perfect Stompers going into the high 500's. Optimal use of Stompers is similar to that of many shotguns: in a cover heavy scenario at close range, emptying the magazine of the Stomper on a single opponent before returning to cover to reload.
Stomper is a Title (Title_Damage2_Stomper) given to Combat Rifles with high damage. It further defines the weapon's trait by largely increasing damage, but also greatly reducing bullet velocity. While there are no restrictions on a Stomper's accuracy, the higher priority Cobra title prevents Stompers with an accuracy of more than 93% from spawning. - All Stompers have the Dahl or Tediore brand. Hyperion does not manufacture Stompers.
- Stompers never have elemental accessories.
- Because the Stomper effect derives from the Title, it is not possible for unique, legendary or pearlescent weapons to have that effect.
- Lilth's High Velocity skill can offset the long-distance accuracy problems posed by the slow projectile.
