Sub-Sequence is the tier 5 skill in Maya's Motion skill tree. It gives Phaselock a chance to seek out and Phaselock another enemy if the current Phaselocked enemy dies.

The second orb will use the remaining duration of the first phase-lock orb. Travel time from target to target won't stop the timer even though no target is locked during this time. A single action skill trigger may phaselock multiple targets provided they are killed fast enough.

Effects[]

  • Chance to Phaselock another target: +20% per level
Level 1 2 3 4 5
Phaselock Chance 20% 40% 60% 80% 100%

There are no class mods that boost this skill beyond 5 levels.

Notes[]

  • Sub-Sequence interacts well with other phaselock-related skills. It causes Helios and Converge to trigger each time a target is locked, and causes Sweet Release to trigger each time a locked target is killed.
  • Wreck, Elated, and Chain Reaction are only active while an enemy is actively phaselocked and are not active when the orb is seeking new targets.
  • If no enemies are in range when Sub-Sequence triggers or if it is blocked by obstacles, the phaselock orb will either fly upwards or get stuck. As there is no way to manually end phaselock early, the action skill cooldown will not start until the orb despawns.
