Hello, does anyone know the chances of getting a Baby Maker? I've killed Madame Von Bartlesby about 50 times already. --

- I got my first baby maker after 83 kills, aftwerwards it only took 10-20 to get more.

In my experience with using the Babymaker, which I gained from a slot machine, the reload projectile acts like an ordinary grenade, but explodes twice.

I've seen 1 to 3 child grenades spawn off the original thrown weapon.

Also note that reloading after 1 shot of (for example) a 39 magazine will consume the remaining 38, adding the potential damage of each shot to the thrown weapon. For instance, let's say each shot does 10,000 damage. The player then consumes all 39 and the weapon automatically reloads. The thrown weapon and each child grenade will do roughly 10,000 damage. If reloaded after 1 shot fired, each thrown weapon and child grenade have the POTENTIAL of doing 380,000 (38 remaining ammo x 10,000 per shot).

"the damage of each thrown weapon grows proportionally to the amount of ammo left in the magazine." Not a property of the red text, it's a general Tediore weapon mechanic. Gnarx (talk) 23:09, October 31, 2012 (UTC)

A fun theory I have. I noticed that the Baby Maker will quite infrequently produce a second or third child projectile from the reload projectile. I would expect this from Borderlands 2; I'm wondering if the probabilities of twin or triplet child projectiles are the same as the probabilities of a human mother having twins or triplets as opposed to a single child. This would explain the infrequency. I'm refraining from adding this to the main article due to the lack of proof, but if true, I would like to see it added, as it would be a fascinating fact. It's kinda funny if you think about it: When the child grenade spawns another child grenade. It's sorta like a mother just delivering a baby, but then the baby gives birth to another baby, which is the same size as the first baby, and so on. That's like some Inception crap lmao. I do think that it would be more appropriate if the thrown weapon has chances, respective to how it is currently, to spawn 1-3 child grenades at one time, more like an MIRV 'nade mod. In that video...how does that player deal so much damage with the Baby Maker to Terramorphous?  I'm trying to solo him I have a top-level Baby Maker and Bee and I deal nowhere near as much damage with its relaod.  I don't have a legendary mod, is that what I'm missing? 03:30, January 30, 2013 (UTC)

Bee shield's been nerfed and no longer boosts the damage for each seperate bullet in the thrown gun.
