The "cover art"
The cover art doesn't really bring anything to the article and just makes it longer. And it's not really that well made, as no one would really use an in-game shot from the previous game in the series as a cover art, so I suggest it to be removed. Mailia 18:54, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

The art is pretty cool. The enemies look badass. The guns do look unique and different. Im not sure if its just me but the only vehical shown looks like the ride from Halo minus the turret on top. Lets hope they dont go there. 20:38, August 10, 2011 (UTC)
Salvador the Gunzerker
From reading the "Scans of the GI" artical linked by Dammerung above, It would seem that Duel-wielding is his Action Skill. This gives him the ability to use two of the same type of weapon for a short period of time the same way Roland can drop his Turret or Lilith can enter Phasewalk. - According to the interview with Randy P (viz. video on gameinformer.com), action skills are richer overall. And apparently the all-new-and-improved Zerker can still Zerk with his fists while raging, too, old-style. Makes me wonder how much the remaining classes will be tweaked-and-improved versions of the old classes. Gunsiren. Gunhunter. Im hoping Phasewalk makes a reappearence. I love that skill. Though i was wrong about the ability to Duel-wield the same type of weapon. Apparently he can Duel-wield any two weapons at the same time while in his Active Ability mode. 21:16, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

Iridium(spelled Eridium in the G.I. artical) is a real, albeit rare, mineral that can be found on earth. Mining for Eridium is one of the reasons for the orginal settelment of Pandora. Eridians( Aliens) were most likely named after the Mineral, not the other way around. 21:27, August 16, 2011 (UTC)
Eridium probally isn't misspeled, it's probally named after Iridium. Eridians probally invented it and stored it in the ground. The new classes action skills
I was thinking that if there is a new Soldier class, the turret drop might be sweet if you could equipe any weapon from your inventory. Imagine a Mongol turret or A Steel Anarchy turret. I guess we will find out next year. Awesome. 12:53, August 17, 2011 (UTC)
I'm personally hoping for a mannable turret. Mounted weapons were so few and far between in the first one, they need to make a better, more structured appearence in 2. Maybe have it be ammunition based, not time based, and have skills give it a grenade/missle launcher, and those ray-shield things for cover? It seems that Mara's skill is a stun like ability called phaselock. 3 trees 10 skills each. Some skills are
Harmony
"sweet release killing an enemy you have currently phaselocked creates life orbs which automatically heal the party." on level 5/5 creates 5 life orbs and heals 10% of your health.
"Wreck when you have an enemy phaselocked you gain fire rate and damage with all gun types." 2/5 20% fire rate, 12% damage, 2/5 30% fire rate, 18% damage.
"Mind's eye; Increases critical hit damage and melee damage." 1/5 6% crit, 6% melee damage, 2/5 12% crit and melee damage.

- So much detail, so many pending unanswered questions. Can't tell if the variable ROF is a Vladof feature or a class attribute or something else. And that final double-number-one fall-off-the-map animation (which is awesome) suggests that explosions now throw you around, just like rocket blasts would throw around enemies in BL1. Atlas out of bussines? Yeah right...
I heard that the Atlas will not be returning to Borderlands 2 is becouse they where but out of bussines in the end of Secret Armory of General Knoxx. THAT MAKES NO SENSE!!! They are said to be the biggest and richest manufactered controlling alot of worlds and making food, space ships, suitcases etc. Their even have their own Private army! (Although Hyperion has that to). It would make no sense that they would be put out of bussines becouse General Knoxx is killed and his armory has destroyed. He and his army whas just a small part of the Crimson Lance witch is just a small part of the Atlas Corporation! I understand that they have forsaken Pandora but the arcticle claim otherwise! More colors suddenly?
Hasn't anyone noticed the fact there's more vegitation?

Not sure about the giant H. One of the complaints by many players is that there was not enough veriaty in the environments, so they are adding more "colors". Since we have only seen a "small portion of the planet" so far, that leaves room for them to expand in this area of the game. 03:14, October 26, 2011 (UTC)

They are still working on the game. they only just started working on the live action Lilith shots and im sure they have a ways to go game play. What Veg said. Remember, they wouldn't even admit that a Borderlands 2 existed until last August. "Leaks" are incredibly valuable publicity tools, and Gearbox is doling them out carefully to maintain the sense of excitement during the remainder of the long development cycle. If someone wants to post the tidbits of info from that article...
- 18,000 types of grenades, more in-depth modification. "Delivery Mechanism" affect their travel "Behavior Modifications" affect their explosive pattern.
- Roland is rounding up the remnants of the Crimson Lance to fight against Hyperion, who has become the new Atlas.
- The "Down, Not Out" skill for Salvador lets him dual-wield weapons while crippled.
- The difficulty is set to spike in the second playthrough
- Split-Screen online play is confirmed
- Trading system for loot has been implemented

Adding more info to the load
I'd like to add some released data of Borderlands 2, courtesy of PC gamer/trailer:
Number one: according to PCG, the artic bullymog will have a cinematic intro(Like the bosses from borderlands 1 did) where the bullymog tears through the text.(PGC, january 2012 issue.)
Number two: Bandit killers still seem to sport the same face mask(0:32) although their body armour is less uniform and more ragged.
Three: I can confirm the layout of the party truck, as the back appears to be standing zone while the passenger side is the canon, similar to the lancer's(1:12).
And also, can we please stop the argument over split-screen? News gets fouled. The trailer was from gearbox. If that's really not enough, just say instead that "Borderlands 2 is still in debate whether split-screen is supported or not." 207.6.25.27 00:50, March 5, 2012 (UTC)

guardian angel is hyperion (maybe). handsome jack is hyperion (fact). the GA tasks the new characters with killing jack. what gives? does hyperion want jack dead? was the 4N631 satellite cracked by a mysterious third party as some believe? is the satellite jealous of jack's spiff new floating H moonbase? it's unsurprising that hyperion wants the original vault hunters gone (again) given the typical (mega)corporate thinking of throwing the merc out with the bathwater, but why does the ga want jack taken out?? hopefully gbx's VP of Making Up Crap earns his paycheck this go 'round and, at the least, performs a google search for keyword "plot." 18:55, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

Also, what if handsome jack owned the hyperion corporation in borderlands 1, leading the vault hunters to the vault? DLC Ideas
Title:The Iridium War
Locations:
Hyperion Base (starting location)
Robotic Factory (branches off from the Hyperion Base enemies are being built and utalized to attack you as you are going through the map)
Iridium depository (branches off from Robotic Factory iridium on conveyors and in machines are unreachable, though you are still able to get iridium from enemies).
Extra Content:
Mr. Blake will return and be giving you missions and of coarse loot
New loot
There will be a machine at the end of Iridium depository that will condense iridium and turn it into an upgrade that will go into the element slot, this upgrade turn the players skill into an (obviusly) upgraded version, you may hold off from using the upgrade by simply equipting a different element and you may only use it once per iridium but you may use the machine as many times as you want
Zer0's deception will (instead of only one decoy) send out two decoys that will fight along side you.
Salvador's gunzerking will let you hold four guns (one right side up, one up side down in each hand) instead of two.
Maya's phaselock will let you send out two spheres instead of one
Axton's deploy turret will let you send out two turrets instead of one

Do we know that the game has 4 player offline co-op? It would be awesome if it did, but from the trailer it looks like it's only 2 player offline co-op. Anyone got a source for this info?

Pearlescent Weapons in Borderlands 2
Will pearlescent weapons exist in the next installment of Borderlands? I watched a walkthrough in which the player opened a greenish glowing chest chest that contained what appeared to be cyan-coloured weapons. Now if it is this easy to find said colour rarity of weapon, is it is possible they have changed the rarity colour or just plain got rid of the concept of a pearlescent weapons altogether? Any thoughts?

- That is one possibility; however when you pointed this out you reminded me of Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series. Perhaps, like Raiden he as a human, or resident of Pandora, that has undergone cybernetic experiments. After all Raiden's feet had a similar shape to them.

- It seems to me that he is human, though half or fully robotic could be true as well. my guess is that he is possibly a remnent of the Lance assasins, or maybe a Hyperion assasin that defected and joined the other mercenaries like Roland from the first Borderlands. as for the toes, the way they look reminds me of how your feet look if you wear socks with flip-flops. having your big toe in one part of the sock and all the other toes in the rest. looks kind of like a shoe with the same thing going on. just my opinion.
