little help please...[]
I have no idea what I'm doing as I have never edited a wiki before, but I added a picture. It just sits at the bottom left of the page and I don't know how to put it in a descriptive box.
Level 19 Blaster[]
I can't get a screen shot because I'm using an Xbox, but I got the 101100 Mercurial Blaster on level 19 and it has the following specs: Damage=74, Accuracy=87.5, Fire Rate 9.1, Value=$1580.
Although the damage rating is only 74, it seems to do a lot more damage than higher rated weapons. I am playing the game for the second time as the Soldier. The first time I played as the Hunter and never got this particular model. I'm on level 25 now and it is still a great weapon. It can quickly kill opponents close up as well as turrets and other opponents off in the distance.
- I moved your gun over to the other body types and marked it as 74, since it seems to match the other Blaster archetype damage values.
- I've managed to get every legit Eridian weapon except this one, which is really annoying since it seems to be the most useful. I definitely find the Blasters more useful as a soldier character, since they're so slow and have such relatively small magazines normally. The soldier's skills make them fire faster and longer than on my hunter build. --Lagged 20:56, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
Collapsing all Blaster articles back into one main Blaster article[]
It's pretty obvious that the blasters share the same damage trends (except for the Wave Blaster, which has 2x the damage of the other ones). Any differences between the Ball, Wave, Eridian, and Mercurial blasters can be explained in one or two sentences each, really. Any objections to combining all the Blaster articles back into a single one? --Lagged 00:49, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Collapsing the Blaster articles into a single page[]
It's pretty obvious that the Blasters are more similar than they are different, and three of them apparently share the same damage tables. I'm going to collapse them back in and redirect, unless someone objects. --Lagged 01:21, November 17, 2009 (UTC) I still have the 100100 Wave Blaster with me, just need to take a screenshot. --QuantumOmega 16:33, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
Encountered variants[]
I moved this from the main page because its not information that users would really need. Lagged and I did this with the page for the Eridian Cannon as well. I don't know if we'll do the same thing with the different magazine parts, so I will leave the able as it is. --Zaybertamer 05:30, November 11, 2009 (UTC) Are you sure this deals shock damage? I've never seen it do that.

response to speculation[]
The blue flashing effect is part of the projectile's own animation, and not the shock animation. The contact animation for shock weapons is a small arcing effect.
Itwongo 18:12, November 7, 2009 (UTC)Itwongo
It's still weird, though. Its bullets never seem to go through the enemy's shield. --Lagged 20:13, November 7, 2009 (UTC)
huh. That is strange..... I dunno. Maybe it's a bug? I'll e-mail Gearbox. They might have some answers.

Just got a lvl 28 one of these with 222 damage rating, I can text a picture of it if anyone can upload that, I don't have a camera to take a screen shot and its on ps3... Zuken 20:10, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, that would be good. That damage rating would be more in line with the Wave Blaster. --Lagged 20:16, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
- yea I saw that it doesn't seem to match what the table suggests... but I'm holding it now, send me a pm with the number you want me to text it to Zuken 20:36, November 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Just upload it to the wiki or imgur.com so everyone else can see it, too. --Lagged 08:53, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
- Thats the problem, all I have is a camera phone and no way to synch it with my pc...

- Some camera phones can send pictures to email addresses, you could send it to your own email then upload it if you wanted, if possible. Tavengen 20:41, November 19, 2009 (UTC)
- Yea the kind with browser capabilities... mines very low end, the camera is about the most advanced thing on it... I'll find someone to text it to and upload it if your not up for it, give me a few days, my phone cant do it. Zuken 03:13, November 20, 2009 (UTC)

Tracking of the Ball Blaster[]
Is it just me, or does the Ball Blaster track towards where the enemy was at the time of firing? I've noticed, with several fast-moving enemies, that the balls of energy track towards where the enemy originally was at the time the shot was fired. Because the shots move so slowly, the tracking probably isn't that useful for fast-moving enemies. --HybridDragoness 08:35, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Deflection[]
I've noticed that with my Ball blaster the projectiles are sometimes deflected for no apparent reason, such as when no enemies are around. Tavengen 20:43, November 19, 2009 (UTC)

Ammo regeneration[]
Does ammo regeneration from Soldier Mods help with Eridian weapons? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.46.1.46 (talk • contribs)
Some usage notes[]
The Ball Blaster is very effective against Larval Crab Worms. Its projectile tracking homes toward the worms' centrally located weak point, which the splash damage also helps hit.
The Ball Blaster is almost completely useless against Spiderants, as its homing projectiles will target their armored front carapace. You're better off sniping for their abdomen with any other weapon, even an Eridian Lightning against a Shock Badass.
The vertical oscillation of Wave Blaster projectiles makes this weapon very effective against flying Rakk. Dämmerung 16:21, October 29, 2011 (UTC)
