H3RL-E's Reference[]
H3RL-E's title "Trebuchet Terror of the 7 Dried-Up Seas" is obviously another reference (as to what exactly I can't guarantee) but it's safe to assume it's directed at the phrase from the idiom "sail the seven seas." But that phrase has been described as appearing as early as 2300 BC. If anyone has a solid understanding what Gearbox was intending to reference, I think it'd be a suitable trivia entry.
