The Leviathan

The Leviathan is the final boss of the Borderlands 2 DLC Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty. It is the guardian of Captain Blade's lost treasure, and must be defeated before the treasure can be accessed. It is an enormous creature, capable of a variety of devastating attacks. Once defeated, its corpse creates a walkway that allows access to the treasure room.

The Leviathian is the largest boss faced in either Borderlands game.

Strategy

Notes

• The encounter with The Leviathan can only be done while X Marks The Spot or Treasure of The Sands is active, or after they have been turned in.
• Although invisible, The Leviathan's body is still physically present after the area has been exited. This can be used to access the treasure room again, although it is difficult and risky.
