Usage & Description
The Trespasser is a fairly standard Sniper Rifle with the exception of the ability to ignore shields. Its damage is often lower than other sniper rifles of the same level, however, bypassing shields makes it much more effective against certain enemies. Of note is its behavior against stalkers. Because of its effect, it will be able to kill stalkers outright before almost any other sniper rifle, however, if the stalker survives the shot, its cloak is still fully effective.
Another trick one can use when carrying the Trespasser is to have it in the active weapon slot before entering a vehicle. The machine gun attacks of both the Outrunner and the Bandit Technical will then penetrate enemy shields. The sawblades as well as the explosive weaponry remain unaffected, however.
It is hugely useful against Voracidous the Invincible, as it can bypass Chief Ngwatu's huge shields and take him out rather quickly, making the rest of the battle much easier.
Notes
- The Trespasser cannot bypass Master Gee the Invincible's shield, despite being able to bypass Chief Ngwatu's shield.
Trivia
- The flavor text is a reference to Mordecai's "Fight for Your Life" mode quote where he screams "I NEVER DIE!".
- The Trespasser's name comes from Mordecai's Trespass skill in Borderlands, which lets the user bypass shields.
