This build finds a median choatic situtaions. The phasewalk related abilities provides health and means of escape, that leads to retaliation. The more ranged skills provide good destructive capability. Combinations of Dot, kiting, and variable equiptment is the key. A must have is 2 good (prefered elemental of different type) SMGs, ammo regen of SMG via class mod or gun bonus, and a shield with decent capacity and high recharge rate(avoid elemental burst types). Depending on the the ammo regen item, class mods related to Mind Games, High velocity, Increased Elemental probability should be consider for swapping for situational adjustments(pvp, elemental enemies, guns on hand). Elements of choice should follow Fire>Corrosive/Shock>Explosive(shock really only has use when fighting guardians). That said The Maliwan Hellfire SMG is probably the top SMG of choice, and a Corrosive/Shock Tediore Savior should be second(if you have a savior, Mind Games Class Mod should be prioritized). Strategy would be to burn your clips until the enemy is in close proximity, kite and circle and melee on passer-by's. Phasewalk is reserved for being cornered, low health/shield/ammo and upon its end, the opportunity to retaliate and repeat opens up. Note: the more variety of equiptment you have the better you can adapt and overcome.
